MOTORSPORT MENTOR FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS HONEST RELIABLE SUPPORT

Motorsport has to be the most missunderstood and expensive sport almost anyone can enjoy.  In simple terms there are so many variables at play in any given situation on the same day that... knowing the racing lines, having that special engine, understanding weight transfer or new tyres actually don't mean much without knowing when, where, why, what to focus on most for the next few seconds.   For example one drivers "the car understeers like a pig" is simply overcome by another driver in the same car... is this talent or is this understanding of the variables and therefore where to focus?  There is always a level of compromise even in the dreamy Netflix world of F1, but when/where and how much time we waste chasing something frankly inherent in a situation creates huge savings, and this is where my experience comes in.

I regard my role in motorsport as a mentor, not just a coach or instructor.  I have no interest in quick fixes beyond surving "a moment" in time at least!  I have no interest in throwing a few tips a clients way and calling myself a driver coach to get my next drive, I've been there and done that got the T Shirt, my only interest is in seeing all the drivers I coach being amoungst the most competant in any car they jump into.

With unrivalled on track experience extending from training an F1 World Champion, BTCC and GT Champions, Le Mans winners through to people who could not care less about driving competance but find themselves on track in the latest 800bhp supercar… in the rain... around Spa Francorchamps on road tyres, the experience I deliver encompasses all areas of racing driver development!

Unlike most drivers of with my level of professional motor racing experience, I do not come from a priviledged background, I built my first race cars and funded my racing career with only garage space and tools comming from my family.  I have driven within big budget teams with great team personnel,  driven on shoe strings budgets, doing the work myself, I've raced in 24hr races in Dubai, Silverstone, Spa and even Le Mans (although this was doing passenger laps for Aston Martin but did include night runs),  I've driven everythinmg from modern GT3 and TCR cars race cars, Radicals, Caterhams and various karts so have seen first hand the variety of motosrport.

Over the last 15 years Simon has become something of an expert in the world of simulators, specifically for driver training in motorsport through his company Sim Dynamics Limited based in Manchester, details of which can be found here alongside some blogs that may give more insight into the experience available.
